Acupuncture for Fertility
Around 17% of couples experience difficulties with conception. Acupuncture may help regulate menstual cycles, improve blood flow to the reproductive organs, balance hormones and counteract the effects of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Acupuncture for IVF

Acupuncture may help in the treatment of infertility by regulating fertility hormones which can become imbalanced as a result of stress and other factors; increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs which can improve the thickness of the endometrial lining and so increasing the chances of embryo implantation; increasing egg production and improving oocyte quality which could increase the chance of fertilisation; enhancing luteal function; regulating follicle stimulation hormone-receptor comunication; normalising cortisol and prolactin levels on IVF medication days and thereby reducing stress and promoting embryo implantation.
